Nominations pour in for CNME’s ICT Achievement Awards 2011

ICT Achievement Awards 2011, which honours the most credible ICT deployments and IT teams in the region, has received hundreds of nominations across its 20 categories from all over the region.

Following the overwhelming response of the industry to the call for nominations, ICT Achievement Awards 2011 has closed its nominations and will start the judging process for the trophies.

“We had an initial extension of the nomination deadline to enable more people to send in their submissions. We have now closed the nomination lists across all the award categories. We have had a heart-warming response from end-users, vendors and partners from across the region,  with hundreds of submissions pouring in across  the 20 categories. The judges are now tasked with selecting the most deserving nominee for each category from this regional submission, and this is no enviable task. Each of the nominations that CNME has received represents an exemplary effort in deploying IT for business benefit and greater efficiency across dynamic verticals like healthcare, hospitality and government among others,” said Sathya Mithra Ashok, Senior Editor of CNME.

The second annual ICT Achievement Awards , conducted by CNME the leading enterprise IT publication of the region, is the premier enterprise Awards ceremony for the region.

The ICT Achievement Awards will host the who’s who of the ICT sphere from across the region at a gala dinner function in Dubai on the 9th of October 2011 (the first day of the GITEX technology week.) The evening is expected to bring together a 500 strong audience comprising CIOs, IT directors, IT managers and other senior IT decision makers, along with systems integrators, service providers, prominent vendors and other major industry stakeholders.

“CPI and CNME are proud to bring the ICT Achievement Awards for the second time around to the region. We believe that the Awards play a key role in highlighting the ground-breaking work done by industry stakeholders in the Middle East, and help set standards and best practices for vendors, end-users and deployments that can be implemented and followed for increased market maturity going forward,” said Richard Judd, Managing Director at CPI Technology, Business and Broadcast divisions.
