According to a Reuters report, on Thursday the bank’s Automated Teller Machine (ATM) services were disrupted.

Samba’s online banking was the last service to resume late on Saturday, according to earlier statements from the bank.

In the Reuter’s report Samba described the problem as “a technical issue” that had impacted the bank systems serving branches.

The firm said that there was no impact on the bank’s internal services, adding the bank was not targeted by a cyber-attack. Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency (SAMA), the kingdom’s central bank, earlier said that it was monitoring the issue and would take all necessary action on the issue after investigating the reasons for the problems.
