Under the agreement, Schneider Electric has committed to deliver its range of equipment and solutions especially designed for SEC activities. These include generation, transmission and distribution of electrical power across the Kingdom, provide services to different governmental, industrial, agricultural, commercial and residential sectors, and leveraging IoT to make life easier and collect real time information from the field to the enterprise level for asset management.

The agreement not only builds on an already productive relationship between Schneider Electric and SEC, but it also offers additional energy management solutions to help reach the Kingdom’s sustainability goals. Through comprehensive solutions that meet SEC needs, as well as providing internship training for SEC fresh engineers, the partnership aims to reduce energy usage and improve safety, reliability, connectivity, and efficiency.

Schneider Electric Country president Najib AlNaim and SEC EVP for Distribution and Customer Services Mansour Al-Qahtani signed the MoU.

“Our cooperation with Schneider Electric is not new, we have been working together to implement and develop different projects in the electric infrastructure sector. We are happy to extend our collaboration to reach maximum sustainability. Such active cooperation will provide the consumer with reliable, safe and efficient power resources and increase the local content of electric materials used in SEC projects as one of the most important objectives that the company has implemented for localising power industry, in light of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030,” said SEC’s Al-Qahtani during the signing.

Schneider Electric CEO Jean-Pascal Tricoire told Tahawul Tech last month that the company has increased its investments in Dubai and Saudi every year, with the intention of “being here for the long-term.”
