Sophos signs Naizak for distribution in the Middle East

Security company Sophos today announced a distribution agreement with Naizak Global Engineering Systems, a value added distributor (VAD) in the GCC region.

The appointment comes at a time when Sophos has focused expansion plans in the region and is working towards strengthening its local channel.

This new partnership will see Naizak distributing Sophos’ entire range of complete security solutions, including Endpoint Security, Encryption and Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Web and Email Protection, Mobile Control and Sophos Network Security and Unified Threat Management (UTM).

“Our strategic partnership with Naizak is not just an indication of our commitment to the region but it also reinforces our positive vision for local growth plans,” said Andre Scheffknecht, regional VP of NEEMEA for Sophos. “The distribution agreement will help us deliver our technological innovations along with optimum value to our customers.”

“The decision to sign this agreement was made easier as Naizak was already distributing Astaro – now a Sophos company. Naizak’s in-depth understanding of market dynamics, skilled technical team and timely training and educational programs will support our opportunity for incremental growth,” Scheffknecht added.

The agreement will allow Naizak and Sophos to work closely together to provide comprehensive customer support, greater flexibility and immediacy in terms of access to the local team, as well as delivering broad access to Sophos solutions.

Naizak will offer its channel partners several value-added services to help them sell Sophos’ solutions better, it was announced. Together with Sophos, the distributor will conduct seminars and training programmes for its partners as well as offer pre-sales, implementation and post-sales support.

Naizak will also be able to offer its customers a wider range of products and tailored solutions in line with its suite of complementary offerings. In addition, Sophos will benefit from Naizak’s local presence and market expertise, allowing the security vendor to increase its market reach and growth opportunities in the region.

”To remain strong in the value added distribution business, we make concerted efforts to keep abreast with market trends and are constantly adding some of the latest technologies into our portfolio. The addition of Sophos represents our assurance to collaborate with best of breed, thereby broadening our niche solutions for channel partners and meeting the specialized needs of end users. We see a perfect fit for Sophos products within our brand portfolio that complement our existing solutions,” said Salim Abdul Ghani, regional operations manager, Naizak.

Naizak Global Engineering Systems is an engineering and IT conglomerate head quartered in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia with wide coverage in the Middle East region. Naizak, through the use of its distributed group of companies and business partnerships, has been able to establish a strong standing in the IT distributio space, which allowed Naizak to successfully expand its reach and experience to its business and channel partners.
