Aptec, Ingram Micro organises Solutions Forum for resellers in Kuwait

apteclow resAptec, Ingram Micro Inc. has announced that the company concluded Solutions Forum for reseller partners in Kuwait, last week. The event saw the gathering of more than 100 people from the reseller community, representing more than 70 IT reseller companies, mostly senior executives and owners.

Aptec invited top vendor speakers to present at the event.  According to the company, the reseller community in Kuwait was keen to hear the latest product and technology updates from the distributor’s vendor partners such as Cisco, NetApp, Microsoft, Veeam and D-Link. The agenda for the event was to embrace a focused range of topics relevant to the current evolution of latest technologies in Big Data and virtualisation, cloud computing, networking, servers and storage, enterprise software, forming advanced solutions to help resellers to address requirements of the current IT market.

Govind Haridas, Business Unit Manager, Solutions & Alliances, Aptec Ingram Micro said, “From being the leading Enterprise VAD in the market, Aptec Ingram is now focused on cementing its position as the top Solutions VAD in the MEA region. With the traditional distribution models continuing to feel the margin squeeze and the inevitable transition to the cloud underway in parallel, most VAD’s are now concentrating on differentiative value creation. Apart from being a one-stop shop for the reseller community they also need to be the extended arms of the vendors in the market. Aptec with its 30 plus vendors is now ideally placed on a goldmine of opportunity to address this solutions and services need.” Haridas continued, “Although a plethora of permutations and combinations are possible between various collaborative vendors, we have chosen the data centre, cloud computing, Big Dat and Unified Communications platforms as the silos of focus. Kuwait was the first of the series and we are happy that event was very well accepted by partners. We will have Qatar, Oman and Bahrain events to follow shortly.”
