It was also aimed at addressing what HP says it clearly sees as a general trend in the UAE of a lack of selling ability and customer service.
More than 40 of its Imaging and Printing Group (IPG) Channel Partners from throughout the region were put through last month’s two-day course which was designed to give them the skills to win new, high value business.
Ernest Azzam, HP Laser & Enterprise Solutions Business Manager said “HP Middle East is dedicated to equipping our Channel Partners with the skill and know-how to get ahead in today’s challenging times and competitive environment.
“We understand the value in providing customers with cost effective and cost-reducing solutions and for that reason it is imperative that our partners are equipped with the skills to demonstrate this to them.”
HP also said that despite the country having invested heavily into retail infrastructure selling sills in general were still lacking. “Products are no longer able to sell themselves and customers need to be convinced in order to spend their money, said the statement.
The training was conducted in Dubai by Exceed.
Selling cost reduction and cost effective solutions were the themes of HP Middle East?s first Partner Sales Academy course.
