Logicom names new GM for Saudi

Logicom has appointed Mounir Sarkis as the new General Manager in Saudi Arabia. Sarkis is moving to this role following a successful two years as sales manager at Logicom Dubai.

Sarkis brings a wealth of IT experience to his new position, gained from his background in both, large scale distribution and vendor organisations. Prior to joining Logicom Dubai, Sarkis was a Business Development Manager for Kingston Technology and later for Hitachi.

Sarkis says he is looking forward to his new appointment.  “Saudi Arabia is a market with a lot of potential and Logicom is well placed to grow its business here significantly. We will be looking to improve our market coverage, develop new partnerships with leading vendors and focus on delivering innovative technology solutions to the market.”

“This is Mounir’s third assignment at Logicom since joining the team in Beirut in 2008. The experience he has accumulated since then and the energy he brings to his work will be instrumental in taking Logicom Saudi Arabia to the next level and help it fulfil its potential”, says Michael Papaeracleous, Executive Director of Distribution at Logicom.

This new appointment highlights Logicom’s commitment to the Saudi Arabian market and its long term growth strategy for the country. Logicom has been active in Saudi Arabia since 2006 and upgraded its presence to a Foreign Direct Investment in 2010. Today it employs more than 50 people and has offices in Riyadh and Jeddah.
