Extreme Networks names new regional head

Ala’ali brings to Extreme Networks over fifteen years experience in the region as well as the IT sector, where he held senior management positions with leading technology companies including American Power Conversion, Microsoft Corporation and IBM/Lotus Development Corporation (Middle East).

Ala’ali will head the Extreme Networks Middle East operation and will be responsible for the expansion of Extreme Network’s business in the region whilst providing on the ground support to existing channel partners & expanding the network in the region. Ala’ali is to be based in the Extreme Networks regional HQ in Dubai.

“Its great to have Aziz heading up the Extreme Networks MEA team, where he brings significant experience building and managing successful sales teams and channel operations throughout the Middle east,” said Roland Richter, vice president of sales for Extreme Networks in Europe, Middle East, Africa and South America “Extreme Networks has a rich tradition in the Middle East with a strong customer base & extensive partner network due to a combination of proven intelligent network solutions that offer scalability, agility and simplicity for the enterprise and service providers and strong sales support across different markets in the region.”

“With his comprehensive background in the technology industry, Aziz is the perfect match to take Extreme Networks to the next level, addressing a number of upcoming regional opportunities such as the deployment of 10 GbE in datacenters, the use of connection oriented Ethernet in the upcoming Dubai Metro while reducing TCO amongst many others,” concludes Richter .
