Owner of R&M to visit Qatar to strengthen ties with local companies

Martin Reichle, owner and executive Board Member of R&M

Martin Reichle, owner and executive board member of Reichle and De-Massari (R&M) is set to make a four day business trip to Doha, Qatar between the 5th and 8th of May, 2012. Accompanying him will be Jean-Pierre Labry, executive VP of R&M Middle East and Africa, as well as other members of the R&M MEA management team.

R&M has been present in the region for the past 12 years and Martin Reichle is visiting Qatar to increase the company’s focus on the fast developing market, the company announced.

As part of this trip, R&M will host a customer event at which Reichle will meet with existing and potential customers and partners such as Gulf Business Machines (GBM), one of the leading systems integrators in Qatar, to explore new business opportunities.

Reichle will also meet the newly appointed Swiss ambassador to Qatar, H.E ambassador Martin Aeschbacher, during a visit to the Museum of Islamic Art where R&M products have been installed, the company said.

“It is with great enthusiasm that I look forward to my forthcoming visit. Growing our business in Qatar is a vital part of our plan for the Middle East region. The rapid growth of the telecom sector and the growing interest in FTTH technologies present us with the opportunity for large scale growth in the country,” said Reichle.

“We are looking to expose our name and capabilities and exchange information with end users, IT consultants, structured cabling planners and installers. We invest heavily in the region for the region and our aim is to meet and tie-up with partners and customers who share this vision,” said Labry.

R&M has seen extensive growth in the MEA region and has more than tripled its staff strength over the past three years, by developing first level support in the region for its supply chain, technical and training capabilities and marketing teams, the company added.

Mohammed Riyaz, R&M country manager for Qatar added, “R&M MEA has been present in the country for the past five years and has worked with key players across a broad range of vertical markets such as petrochemical, healthcare, finance, utilities, defense, transportation, telecom, city development, industrial and retail.”

R&M is a prominent player in the IT infrastructure cabling industry in both fibre and copper solutions and has a product range exceeding 5000 products. The company’s expertise includes data centre cabling and Fibre-to-the-Home (FTTH). These solutions can be highly customised to suit the unique needs of the customer, the company said.
