Panasonic targets Middle East UC space

The partnership between the two companies also paves the way for Fuji Soft to start providing regular training on Panasonic’s IP and UC solutions to other resellers in the region. In addition, Fuji Soft has unveiled the Panasonic Unified Communications Tech Support Centre at its Dubai offices.

Albert Raj, MD at Fuji Soft said the move to partner with Panasonic stems from the solid relationship the company has enjoyed over the years through Al-Futtaim panatech. “We are delighted that this partnership has been taken to the next level with our company being recognised as a Gold partner for Panasonic’s IP telephony and UC solutions,” he said.

Raj added that the company has already identified “Golden” resellers and VARs it will be working with closely in pushing sales. In addition, Fuji Soft will also offer regular training for sales and technical staff of reseller companies. “We will be conducting training for resellers every Thursday and Saturday,” he said. “In addition, every quarter, there will be an engineer available from Panasonic who will conduct addition training to resellers in the region.”

Raj emphasised that the training offered will include certification for sales and technical staff once partners register online and pass the exams.

He added that the company will be going flat out targeting SMBs in the Middle East with solutions it believes will positively impact their bottom line.

Masao Motoki, director: System Sales and Marketing Group at Panasonic Middle East, said the company is delighted to have formalised this partnership with Fuji Soft in the region. Motoki pointed out that although the IP telephony and UC solutions Panasonic was introducing through Fuji Soft are not any different from existing competitor solutions, what distinguishes Panasonic’s portfolio is the applications that come with the hardware. “We are one of the few IP telephony and UC solutions vendor that offers its software applications free of charge to end-users,” he said.

Motoki said these additional services, coupled with the technical and partner training that Fuji Soft will be offering through its Panasonic Unified Communications Tech Support Centre, will help partners to not only grow their business but to be profitable as well. “As a company that values customer care, we are confident that the technical support that Fuji Soft will offer through the centre will help resellers to be more competent at deploying Panasonic’s range of IP telephony and UC solutions,” he said.

He pointed out that Panasonic will be enhancing its solutions and these solutions will be unveiled to the Middle East channel and end-users at the forthcoming GITEX technology week in October.

Shaun Sullivan, GM at Al-Futtaim panatech, added that Fuji Soft’s appointment as a Gold partner for Panasonic’s IP telephony and UC solutions is testimony that the company has the capabilities and expertise to grow this business not only in the UAE, but the Middle East region as well. “Fuji Soft has been our reseller partner for a number of years and the relationship we have has always benefited both parties,” he said. “Being appointed to the Gold partner status demonstrates the ability they have in this segment.”

Japanese technology giant Panasonic has appointed Fuji Soft Technology as its Gold partner, a move that will see the UAE-based system integrator take to market the vendor?s IP telephony and unified communications solutions (UC) array in the region.
