As investment pours into the GCC – and especially Dubai – in the roll-out of Dubai Smart City and the build-up to World Expo 2020, SAP, the cloud company powered by HANA, says it is seeing strong demand for cloud-based IT solutions that boost ROI.
“Thanks to the strong economic outlook for the GCC and Dubai, businesses will be left behind if they do not innovate now,” said Sam Alkharrrat, President, SAP MENA. “As the region’s largest ICT event, GITEX Technology Week provides us with an unparalleled opportunity to demonstrate how the cloud can simplify IT and drive transformation.”
In line with SAP’s ‘Run Simply’ cloud strategy, the company will focus on four key areas of innovation- cloud, SAP HANA, mobility, and analytics.
SAP HANA integrates all SAP solutions into one real-time cloud-based platform. Driving ROI, all underlying licenses of SAP software now includes the innovative SAP FIORI user experience.
With cloud as its core business, SAP’s annual cloud revenue is approaching $1.6 billion, and it is the fastest-growing enterprise cloud company at scale, according to its Q2 2014 financial results.
“At GITEX’s centre stage will be Smart Cities, and we look forward to demonstrating how visionary cities like Dubai can leverage cloud-based solutions to innovate government service delivery, and drive the global Networked Economy,” added Alkharrat.
SAP will also host closed breakout sessions, and demonstrate solutions. Its stand will be located in Hall 6 at MAC 6-15.
