DHA to adopt paperless system at medical fitness centres

Dubai Health Authority (DHA) has announced plans to adopt an electronic system at its medical fitness centres to allow customers complete all of their medical tests at one of the 40 DHA-approved printing centres.

The new system, to be launched in August, will allow customers and companies to receive the results of medical fitness tests electronically without the need for a paper document.

Medical fitness tests, including blood tests and x-rays, are a mandatory requirement for all expatriates in the UAE in order to acquire a residency, employment or education visa.

Maisa Al Bostani, director of the Medical Fitness Services Department at DHA, said the new system, to be launched in August, will allow customers and companies to receive the results of medical fitness tests electronically without the need for a paper document.

She said the new system is part of medical fitness centres’ service and facility expansion plans that are in line with the Dubai Government’s objectives, which aims to provide customers with quality services and achieve customer satisfaction.

Al Bostani said that by implementing the new system, three main objectives will be achieved, which are improving the customer’s journey, reducing the waiting time and providing all the necessary services at one place.

Al Bostani said that the authority has approved 40 printing centres to complete the procedures of the customers electronically and in line with the new system’s requirements. This was put in place to ensure a smooth workflow for customers seeking to receive their medical fitness test certificates while the system is being implemented in phases at medical fitness centres across Dubai.
