Global cybersecurity firm Kaspersky Lab has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Injazat Data Systems (Injazat), a secure data centre and managed services solutions provider. The agreement will see the two parties working together to develop a potential partnership in the areas of industrial IT security, cyber defense and other offerings.

The memorandum was signed in May of this year, at Kaspersky Lab’s Trusted Advisors Summit in Abu Dhabi, UAE, between Eugene Kaspersky, Chairman and CEO of Kaspersky Lab, and Khaled Al Melhi, CEO, Injazat. Under the terms of the memorandum, the parties will discuss and develop go-to-market models to pursue new business opportunities with the aim of recruiting new customers. Elsewhere, the parties will also contribute their individual technical expertise and support in areas of common interest.

“Recent global events and the heightened sophistication seen from hacker networks, has reinforced the need to tighten the region’s security posture. Collaborating with one of the world’s leading cybersecurity vendors will enable us to enrich our expertise and ensure Injazat customers, and the local ICT ecosystem, are better protected, said Khaled Al Melhi. “The businesses will review ways of enhancing common areas and services, including incident response, consultation, deployment and installation within the Kaspersky Industrial CyberSecurity solution sphere.”

Eugene Kaspersky said, “Industrial cybersecurity risks are greater than ever nowadays, and the cost of an error is higher as well. Therefore, we are very pleased we have concluded an agreement with such a strong partner as Injazat Data Systems to work together in this and other important fields, delivering the highest level of cybersecurity to the Middle East region.”
