Seagate to hold Middle East Partner Conference

Seagate announced on Monday that it is set to host its annual Middle East Partner Conference on Wednesday, April 3, at the Ritz Carlton DIFC in Downtown Dubai.

Seagate said that more than 60 leading organisations are confirmed to attend, alongside senior executives from across the Middle Eastern IT channel. Seagate’s entire Middle East sales and marketing team will also attend the event.

The event will feature a number of “exclusive” product demonstrations, Seagate said, adding that it will also preview a number of new technologies and releases that are set to hit the Middle East soon. New additions to the Seagate Partner Programme, which has been recently revamped, will also be outlined, Seagate said.

Mark Whitby, Vice President of Sales and Marketing EMEA and Global Channel Sales, Seagate, highlighted the importance of these conferences in a pre-event statement.

“Today’s global storage solutions are undergoing rapid advances in terms of hardware, software, and how they are implemented within the modern enterprise,” he said. “Increased mobility and cloud-based storage applications are also motivating end-users to rethink their traditional approach to storage architecture.

“In light of this, investing in regular value-driven forums with local channel partners, resellers and customers is essential for the Middle East IT ecosystem to realise the full value of such innovations – which is what the Seagate Middle East Partner Conference aims to deliver.”

In other news, Seagate last month announced that it was the world’s first hard disk manufacturer to ship two billion hard drives globally. Interestingly, it took the firm 29 years to hit the one billion mark, but only four years to reach two billion.
