Spectrami has announced its partnership with Micro Focus at the recently concluded GITEX Technology Week 2017. Micro Focus and HPE Software have joined their businesses recently to become one of the largest pure-play software firms globally.

Anand Choudha, president and CEO, Spectrami, said, “If you look at Spectrami over the years, we have connected with partners, customers and resellers with niche technologies. This has helped us to gain our customers’ trust and confidence. However, in the past we had a limited set of products that we could focus on. Micro Focus brings in the additional breadth of technologies. They have solutions in information management, security, IoT and data protection. The idea was to capitalise on the relationship we have with existing customers and give them more reasons to connect with us, which is the advantage Micro Focus brings for Spectrami.”

Over the last several months, Spectrami has had a number of developments. It has repositioned itself as an EMEA distribution company and established operations in UK. It has also expanded into Europe through the acquisition of Network Performance Channel (NPC), a value-added distributor for networking, monitoring and security solutions in Germany.

“We are looking to expand further into other geographies over the next two years. We are trying to engage with distributors in Southern Europe and Nordic region.”

The regional value-added distributor has witnessed a growth of 70 to 80 per cent in the Middle East region over the last year. Choudha added, “Our growth has largely come from existing products as well as the new vendor partnerships we have signed in this year.”

Beginning of 2017, the distributor has signed up with Titus, Pulse Secure, Attivo Networks and more recently Micro Focus.

“This is all contributing to our business, helping our numbers to grow.”

The company booked an exclusive lounge at Ibis during GITEX this year and skipped the process of exhibiting with a dedicated stand.

“We were able to have meaningful and quality pre-booked meetings with our vendors, partners and customers at the exclusive lounge. GITEX has always been about networking and has never been about leads. The event offers a platform to bring together all our key stakeholders to reinforce existing relationships and forge new ones,” Choudha said.
