Ericsson has been named the third Best Workplace in Asia 2015, as announced during Great Place to Work’s inaugural awards ceremony.

The event, held at the Trident Hotel in Mumbai on 5th February, brought together HR and marketing professionals from a range of sectors.

Named the second best workplace in Saudi Arabia and fourth best in the United Arab Emirates in 2014, Ericsson was selected along with a group of 59 other workplaces.

More than 900 companies participated in national list studies, spanning eight Asia-region countries.

“We are so proud to have been ranked number 3 in Great Place to Work’s’ inaugural Best Workplaces to Work in Asia List,” said Rafiah Ibrahim, President, Ericsson, Middle East and East Africa Region. “At Ericsson, we pride ourselves on having an open, innovative, flexible, and a dynamic work environment that promotes individual development and business excellence. We are always striving for improved performance and superior business results. While we do so, our employees are at the heart of it and being ranked number 3 is a testament to our team members’ strong commitment, sense of pride that they associate with being part of the Ericsson family and making it the leader it is in the business. We would like to congratulate each one of them for this achievement and thank them for their strong commitment.”

Great Place to Work Institute conducts an evaluation of each participating company via a survey sent to the organisation’s employees. The anonymous survey asks questions related to management’s credibility, employee engagement and job satisfaction.

An additional score is based on a second survey that is designed to assess each company’s pay benefits programme, hiring processes, internal communications and development.
