Huawei launches strategic channel plans for 2014

huaHuawei has announced that it will build upon its Middle East channel partner network by offering specialised training and technical knowledge to empower its partners to identify opportunities for growth in 2014.

The company will launch plans to its partner network at its Channel Partner Summit, taking place on March 19th at Jumeirah Beach Hotel, Dubai.

Huawei has re-aligned its channel strategy based on trends that are affecting the region’s enterprises, identifying opportunities to affect notable change through the implementation of mobility, big data and network agility technology.

This includes helping its partners to focus on medium-sized businesses in hospitality, healthcare, education, retail and manufacturing sectors.

IDC research shows that nearly 60 percent of enterprises in the GCC do not currently have a mobility strategy and identified network agility and security as the most important ICT need of regional business. Additionally, the market intelligence firm identified the next adopter of big data solutions will be the midmarket enterprise sector, an opportunity that lies directly within the channel.

Huawei has formed its channel strategy around these core development areas, offering the right training and support network in order that its channel partners can be empowered to offer these services to a wider variety of enterprises in the region.

Peng Zhi Feng, Regional Channel Director, Huawei Enterprise, Middle East, said, “This year we will strengthen the support network for our channel partners, offering them the right tools, training and expertise that will empower them to grow our enterprise ICT offering in the region. The summit will include in-depth panel discussions around innovation areas including mobility, network agility and big data.  Additionally, Huawei will be launching its latest  storage technology, set to pioneer and  ride the big data wave, for companies looking to capitalise on the avalanche of information generated to their competitive advantage.

The event will also host the first Huawei Channel Awards ceremony. Four categories will be awarded including Best Contribution, Best Breakthrough, Best Joint Growth and Best Salesperson of the year.
