OKI?s mono printer set to grow market share

“This is an exciting opportunity for OKI,” said John Ross, general manager, Middle East, India and North East Africa, OKI Printing Solutions, “as the MFPs represent the fastest growing sector of the print market. At the same time, mono output remains dominant in the office sector, representing around 80 per cent of total print.”

As an MFP, the MB400 Series include lower purchasing costs and consumables inventory compared to acquiring individual products separately.  Also, the MB400 Series is backed by OKI’s three-year warranty.

The MB400 Series comprises three products: the MB460, which offers print/scan/copy functionality, the MB470 which provides additional fax capability and the MB480 which provides additional paper tray capacity for larger work groups.

Common features include the established B400 print engine, print and copy throughput of up to 28ppm, duplex printing as standard and, with the MB480, higher toner capacity (up to 12,000 copies). Networking function is standard and consumables are compatible with the existing B400.

OKI Printing Solutions, has launched another mono printer to its MFP series – the MB400, which it sees as helping to increase its share of the mono printing market. Since the introduction of the Oki B400 mono printer, Oki says it has almost doubled its market share.
