Wael Mustafa is a senior technology executive with over 28 years of leadership experience driving growth, transformation, and large-scale digital initiatives across the Middle East and Pakistan. He currently serves as General Manager – Middle East & Pakistan (MEP) at Hitachi Vantara, where he leads regional strategy, sales execution, and partner ecosystems across enterprise, government, and regulated industries.
In his role at Hitachi Vantara, Wael focuses on enabling organizations to unlock value from data through AI-ready infrastructure, hybrid cloud, object and block storage, data protection, and digital resilience, helping customers modernize mission-critical environments while balancing performance, security, and cost efficiency.
Prior to Hitachi Vantara, Wael held senior leadership roles at Lenovo Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG), Commvault, EMC, and Zain, where he consistently delivered double-digit growth, built high-performing multi-country teams, and led successful transitions to subscription and services-led business models. He is widely recognized for building strong channel ecosystems, executing complex enterprise and public-sector transformations, and engaging at C-level and ministerial levels across the region.
