Prologix to showcase surveillance products at Intersec

The company which has boosted its distribution line by signing on two new vendors, Proxim Wireless Networks and Infortrend earlier this month, will use Intersec as a platform to launch new and exciting surveillance technologies in the region, including a wireless solution for city-wide surveillance and high definition IP cameras and megapixel network cameras.

Aditya Sahaya, Director, Business Development for Prologix Distribution comments, “The high- tech surveillance industry is one of the fastest growing industries in the region today. This year the industry will experience an exponential growth as safety and security continue to be one of the top priorities of government and private organizations. Rapid critical infrastructure development, terrorist threats and government regulations are expected to drive this growth. In this scenario, Prologix is positioning itself as the partner of choice for systems integrators across the region, by providing a one-stop solution for all surveillance requirements. Our product portfolio comprising high-end and cost effective wireless and storage products, mega pixel cameras & industrial ethernet products are the ideal mix which our partners can leverage to reduce total cost of ownership of projects, thereby enabling them to win projects”

“Similar to Gitex where we participated recently, Intersec offers a great venue for Prologix to meet with existing and potential vendors, resellers and system integrators and expose our name and capabilities to the market. We also intend discussing strategic initiatives and plans and project engagements with our channel partners”, added Sahaya.

Researchers have indicated that the Electronic Surveillance market in the Middle East is projected to grow over 100% for the next ten years. Although Frost & Sullivan estimates the Middle East video surveillance market to be worth about US$200 million (Dh734.5m), other analysts believe this estimate could be far understating the reality because collecting data is hard in countries such as Saudi Arabia, where property development is in the hands of many diverse interests.

On display at the Prologix stand at Intesec will be technologies like video surveillance, gunshot location and perimeter security from Proxim; IQinvision’s ‘IQeye’ – high definition IP cameras and megapixel network cameras that are the most stable, reliable and cost-effective IP security camera available today; high performance storage products from Infortrend ideal for security and surveillance applications; BridgeWave's secure enterprise wireless solution with the strongest data encryption technology available in the world today; rugged ethernet equipment from EtherWAN for harsh environments which could be used for applications like interaction traffic monitoring and surveillance; digital media storage for extreme, content-intensive environments from DataDirect Networks; and NXT ID access control system – a complete biometric fingerprint recognition based time & attendance management system featuring the fastest commercial fingerprint matching algorithm and SecuGen's high-performance, high-image quality optical fingerprint sensor.
