AMD, Asbis, Kaspersky pick up prestigious awards at Reseller Awards 2011
Component vendor AMD and regional distributor Asbis, picked up the prestigious Reader’s Choice Awards for vendors and distributors respectively. Speaking at a glittering function at Dubai’s Westin Hotel, CPI Publisher Dominic De Sousa, welcomed the 400 attendees to this year’s awards function, which received close to 200 nominations for 25 awards.
The other prestigious awards announced on the night of 12 June 2011, included Kaspersky Lab for Editor’s Choice and Madhav Narayan and Lee Reynolds for Outstanding Executives.
Another highlight of this year’s awards was the 35,000 nominations received in less than 3 days for the on-line reader’s choice awards.
An independent four-man jury sifted through the nominations to select the winners across the 25 award slots. The jury consisted of the following:

The three hour extravaganza included veteran MC Dave Crane and song and dance Colombian Troupe, “Piso Caliente” performing Latin, Arabic and Bollywood numbers.
