With the theme ‘Turn your home 3D’, Toshiba unveils its latest products in 3D home entertainment technology and showcases how they interact perfectly to offer consumers an advanced 3D experience. “The way Toshiba is ‘Turning your home 3D’ goes beyond occasionally enjoying a movie experience in the living room,” says Santosh Varghese, regional GM, Computer Systems Division, Toshiba Gulf. “It is our strategy to give people access to all kinds of 3D content in various ways and on different devices.”
With a range of laptops featuring 3D capabilities (Satellite A665, Qosmio F60) and a 3D Blu-ray player (BDX3100KE) Toshiba covers all devices needed for high-class content consumption: For playback of Blu-ray 3D discs or 3D DVD movies, Toshiba lets people choose between several options, with a dedicated player or by using a laptop. For a more than occasional 3D experience Toshiba offers 2D to 3D conversion options – either on the Satellite A665– to add the third dimension to nearly every content.
Toshiba has showcased its latest innovations related to 3D media at IFA in Berlin. The company has also presented its Web-based content and services portal Toshiba Places, that allows easy access to multimedia content and sharing services from various devices with an easy-to-use graphical user interface.
