Dell EMC brings more opportunities to partners

Dell EMC Senior Director for Turkey, Eastern Europe, Africa and Middle East Said Akar highlights the positive feedback the company has been getting from internal stakeholders, end-customers and partners since the two companies have finalised the merger.dell

“We can see a lot enthusiasm from the market as the look forward to the combined products and services we can offer them,” says Akar. “This also means great opportunities for our partners with the amount of solutions that we offering and providing from a variety of perspectives. They can leverage those to further support their customers’ needs.”

Akar mentions that at GITEX, Dell EMC is showcasing products and solutions from both legacy Dell’s and EMC’s portfolio. “We have a wide array of offerings not only for our enterprise customers but also to those who are in the SMB segment. We are demonstrating a variety of technologies including those for cloud, converged infrastructure, hyper-converged infrastructure, all-flash, and enterprise server racks among others.”

Sharing his view about where the Middle East ICT industry, Akar says that the region is not entirely different when it comes to the trends and challenges it faces as compared to other parts of the world. “Digital transformation is a key objective for organisations here in the region,” he says. “Decision-makers are putting pressure on IT to deliver more value to the business. The demands on IT innovation in regions like Europe and North America can also be felt here. So, the discussions we’ve been having with our customers are really revolving around how we can enable them in transforming their infrastructures into one that is cost-efficient, agile and secure.”

Akar also cites the recent study Dell Technologies has conducted, which showed that 85 percent of businesses believe that they do not have the same agile capabilities as a digital start-up. “The combined portfolio that Dell EMC has enables us to deliver turnkey solutions and support these organisations to succeed in their digital transformation journey.”
