Help AG partners with Bit9 + Carbon Black

54 Stephan BernerHelp AG has signed new Authorised Solution Partner (ASP) and Security Service Provider (SSP) partnership agreements with Bit9 + Carbon Black in the GCC.

Through the agreements Help AG will offer the Bit9 + Carbon Black Security, an integrated Endpoint Threat Prevention, Detection and Response solution to enterprises in the region. Help AG will also leverage the same solution in its 24×7 Cyber Security Operations Centre to enhance its Managed Security Services (MSS) and Incident Response (IR) services.

Stephan Berner, Managing Director, Help AG, said, “Partnering with Bit9 + Carbon Black allows us to better mitigate and remediate cyber attacks and breaches. We can protect customer endpoints and perform rapid large scale investigation in the event of an attack. This accelerates remediation, allowing us to get customer IT systems up and running with minimal impact on business.

“Also, because we will be using this technology ourselves, we will be capable of providing an unmatched level of expertise and support to our customer base for this solution,” he added.

While the partnership extends across the GCC, the security specialist will first focus on growing Bit9’s market-share in the UAE, Qatar and Saudi Arabia. Help AG will therefore have at least two Bit9 certified engineers at each of its offices in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Doha and Saudi Arabia with an additional four Bit9 specialists based at its Security Assurance Centre in Dubai for post-sales support. Stephan believes the solution will be particularly well suited to organizations operating in the Banking & Finance, Government, Oil & Gas, Retail, Healthcare, Aviation & Logistics and Education sectors, wherein the dependence on IT systems has been growing exponentially in recent years.

The vendor’s use of open APIs means the solutions can be used to easily extend the capabilities of an organization’s existing security infrastructure. Bit9’s Connect Partner Program includes a number of Help AG’s existing vendors such as FireEye, Palo Alto Networks, HP, RSA, and Splunk. Elaborating on this synergy, Stephan says, “This was a factor in our strategic decision to partner with Bit9 as combining best-in-class technologies to deliver comprehensive IT security solutions is a core principle of our business. We are keen on growing this partnership to benefit the enterprise businesses that choose our security services and systems integration offerings.”
