New RPost partner program provides enhanced integration and patent protection

RPost, a provider of registered email services, today announced a new partner program which provides a web-based console to configure services, and aggressive enforcement of 36 patents covering email legal delivery proof, encryption, e-signature, and large file transfer to assure partner revenues.

Under the direction of a new vice president of alliances Wei Lin, the move enables partners to better serve their customers, while protecting them from competitors who would infringe on their protected revenue streams, the company said.

Partners can now build into their processes the ability to provision customers access to RPost services (set up trials, new users, configure some settings, and reporting) using an RPost provided web console (one for partner admin, one for partner sales) or use an RPost API to add this to their existing administration panels. This enhances partners’ ability to manage customer needs in real time, and tightly integrate RPost services into customer processes.

“We are committed to helping RPost partners win new business with protected services that are the best in the marketplace,” said Zafar Khan, CEO, RPost. “To solidify this commitment, we are pleased to welcome Wei Lin to the RPost team as vice president of alliances. Lin has been in the electronic messaging business for more than 15 years, most recently as chief intellectual property officer of McAfee. The US Patent Office reexamined all 89 claims of a main RPost patent and concluded that they are novel, patentable, and valid. RPost is vigorously enforcing these patent rights to assure its partners that their novel offerings will maintain their competitive edge.”

In defence of partner revenues in 2011, RPost brought federal patent infringement suits in California, Texas, and Virginia against Swiss Post, Canada Post, ZixCorp, Docusign, Adobe Echosign, RightSignature, Farmers Insurance, Telarix and others.

RPost has transformed its patented processing networks into an open platform, so developers can route high value outbound messages to the RPost Cloud for special processing without the need for specialised hardware or software, it was reported. Their high revenue share and ease of market entry are now vigorously protected via RPost’s IP portfolio, representatives added.

RPost is the global standard for email proof, message encryption, and electronic signature services which enable both sender and recipient to prove, sign, encrypt, archive and collaborate across desktop, mobile, and online email platforms. Designed for industries such as insurance, financial services, legal, real estate, telecommunications and manufacturing where the speed of contract execution, encryption, and court-admissible email records are a business requirement.
