Ingram Micro, Trend Micro sign partnership in New Zealand

Ingram Micro has signed an exclusive agreement in New Zealand with Trend Micro to offer its commercial product portfolio in the market.

“This exclusive arrangement is both recognition of the investment Ingram Micro has made in its Trend Micro business and acknowledgement of its achievement in growing its share in the New Zealand market over the last 12-18 months,” said Gary Bigwood, Managing Director, Ingram Micro New Zealand. “We expect to continue to strengthen this relationship to further deliver unprecedented value to our combined customers.”

In a move designed to accommodate New Zealand’s growing managed service provider (MSP) and cloud-enabled reseller community, Trend Micro has also agreed to make its subscription license product portfolio available via Ingram Micro’s Cloud Marketplace in Q1 2017.

The Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace is a cloud services platform that fully automates the service delivery, customer management and invoicing of cloud services. Through this relationship, resellers will have the opportunity to quickly bring the Trend Micro product portfolio to a wider client base by accelerating time-to-market and eliminating operational complexities. Resellers will also be able to easily differentiate their offerings and achieve greater upsell potential by bundling their own services with Trend Micro and other vendors’ products such as Microsoft Office 365 and Azure.

“As the only fully automated cloud-based license aggregation and provisioning platform supporting the local reseller channel in New Zealand, the Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace will provide reseller partners with a quick, accurate and easy way to purchase and sell Trend Micro,” said Bigwood. “We look forward to offering our channel partners solutions that will provide their customers with end-to-end protection from a recognised global leader in IT security.”

“This exclusive collaboration further cements our commitment in the region of providing our mutual partners with the peace of mind they require when moving their customer workloads and data to the cloud,” said Peter Hewett, Channel Director, Trend Micro ANZ.
