Aruba Networks, an HP company, aims to help Middle East organisations tackle the challenges of establishing and maintaining a secure, digital workplace through its participation at the upcoming GITEX Technology Week.

According to the next-generation network company, with the shift to cloud and mobile, enterprise networking needs are exceeding the capabilities of legacy infrastructure. At the same time, organisations are shifting rapidly to mobility-centric workplaces for their employees, guests, customers and students. The next-generation 802.11ac Wi-Fi standard is critical in enabling this trend. This new technology will support the faster speeds and access to cloud applications that end-users expect. Enterprises need comprehensive, integrated and secure networking solutions to help them transition legacy systems to the wireless edge.

Against this scenario, the company will demonstrate its industry leading wireless and switching portfolio. It will also showcase its ClearPass Access Management System and Meridian mobile app platform that enables venues to quickly and easily create mobile apps or improve existing apps with features such as turn-by-turn directions within venues.

Ammar Enaya, General Manager, Aruba Networks Middle East, said, “Regional enterprises need mobile networking solutions that allow them to easily accommodate smartphones, tablets and other personal devices on internal networks, while keeping them safe with the most robust security features available. While ‘bring your own device’ is great for the user, CIOs are faced with the challenge of transitioning legacy systems to the wireless edge while providing enterprise-class security and an optimized mobile application experience. Aruba designs and delivers best-of-breed mobility solutions, and employs a software approach that extends mobility intelligence across wired and wireless networks all the way to users through devices and apps. GITEX is the perfect platform to highlight these capabilities to key IT decision makers who attend the show.”

In a recent report published by Aruba that pinpoints the most at-risk nations based on a survey of the mobile security habits of 11,500 workers in 23 countries, nearly half of UAE workers (48 percent) admitted to having lost personal or company data through the misuse of a mobile.

Aruba Networks will be exhibiting at Gitex in Hall 1 at stand D1-33.
