
Samsung C&T is focusing on infrastructure projects in the Middle East, North America and Asia-Pacific in collaboration with Siemens with the aim of boosting customer experiences in transport hubs, hospitals and more.
Siemens is bringing digitalisation, electrification and automation expertise to the deal with Samsung C&T, as the pair seek to establish a central source of technologies capable of transforming various industries.
The duo are initially focusing on what they term “next-generation infrastructure projects” in Saudi Arabia, Canada and Thailand, targeting airports, hospitals, data centres and other buildings.
Stephan May, CEO of electrification and automation at Siemens said the companies are keen to reshape the delivery and design of next-generation infrastructure.
Samsung C&T brings global engineering, procurement and construction capabilities to the deal. EVP and head of corporate new business Hojin Jung explained the companies want to innovate infrastructure with focuses on sustainability and customer benefits.
Siemens stated it would provide its full range of smart infrastructure and digital industries products, which it believes are sufficient to “optimise design, efficiency and performance across selected projects”.
