What’s the main business or commercial focus for Acer this year?
Acer’s 2025 commercial push is to expand it’s reach of Chromebook, Travelmate and Veriton devices to more enterprise and SMB’s in the region by combining hardware, infrastructure, and channel programs for business growth and digital modernisation worldwide. Acer offers the most robust Chromebook portfolio for education, commercial, and consumer needs, from 11-17- inch displays, mainstream and high-end specs, 3:2, 16:9 and 16:10 screen aspect ratios, various form factors, and military-grade durability certification. For organisations, Acer offers Chromebook Plus laptops with support for Chrome Education Upgrade for seamless device management and enterprise editions for business capabilities. In the education market, Acer provides durable Chromebooks that meet MIL-STD-810H standards, feature Corning Gorilla Glass displays, and have spill-resistant keyboards.
In addition to Chromebooks, Acer’s TravelMate and Veriton devices are designed to meet the demanding needs of SMBs and enterprise users by combining reliability, performance, and manageability. TravelMate laptops offer robust security features such as TPM 2.0, biometric login, and enterprise-grade encryption, making them ideal for mobile professionals and hybrid work environments. Built with long battery life, military-grade durability, and lightweight designs, they support productivity wherever business happens. Veriton desktops, on the other hand, provide scalable power and flexibility for office-based teams, with advanced manageability tools that make IT deployment and maintenance efficient. Together, these devices deliver the security, performance, and total cost efficiency businesses need to drive digital transformation while maintaining operational reliability and control across their workforce.
How is Acer advancing its CSR and sustainability goals?
Acer is committed to net-zero emissions by 2050 and our net-zero strategy outlines nine directions under three major pillars: operations, products and services, and value chain. The nine strategies are: minimise energy consumption; use renewable energy; carbon removal and offsets; low-carbon products and services; choose sustainable materials; smart, circular, and renewable applications; commit to carbon reduction targets, green manufacturing, and logistics; and prioritising low carbon and circular economies to reduce the overall carbon footprint. Furthermore, we started investing in energy storage and partnered with logistics providers to reduce emissions from aviation and standard sea containers’ emissions thanks to biofuel, fulfilling the commitment to sustainability from multiple perspectives.
“Recently, Acer invested in a large-scale solar farm company in Taiwan to actively expand the green energy business.”
