Uniceramic Qatar W.L.L., the country’s first and only manufacturer of porcelain and ceramic tiles, has successfully leveraged an Epicor cloud-based ERP solution to achieve significant operational improvements across finance, manufacturing, supply chain, and sales.

Since deploying Epicor Kinetic, the company has increased inventory accuracy to over 96%, reduced purchase order cycle times from up to seven days to just one or two, and cut monthly financial closing by more than 50%, enabling faster and more confident financial reporting.
With one of the most advanced and highly automated ceramic tile manufacturing facilities in the region, Uniceramic Qatar plays a strategic role in supporting local production and industrial self-sufficiency.
Built over more than a decade and powered by robotics and precision engineering, the facility now benefits from a unified digital backbone that connects every stage of operations from raw material procurement and production planning through to costing, sales and financial reporting.
Commenting on the transformation, Nagi Reddy Bommareddy, Head of IT at Uniceramic Qatar, said, “From the outset, our vision was clear. This was not about deploying an IT system, but about transforming how the business operates. Epicor Kinetic has allowed us to unify data across departments, replace assumptions with facts, and embed discipline and transparency into every process. With a single source of truth, we can plan better, produce smarter, cost accurately, and respond faster to our customers. This is a foundation for long-term manufacturing excellence, not just a technology upgrade.”
Epicor now supports Uniceramic’s core business processes, including procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, production and material requirements planning (MRP), inventory management, finance and controlling, and business intelligence and reporting.
Centralised data and automated workflows have significantly reduced manual intervention and errors, while real-time dashboards and KPIs enable faster, more informed decision-making across the organisation.
“The improvements have been significant and very tangible,” Bommareddy added. “On the operational side, inventory accuracy has improved from around 80% to more than 96%. That gives us near absolute confidence in stock availability, safety stock levels, and batch traceability, which is essential in manufacturing. Our purchase order cycle time reduced from five to seven days down to just one to two days, driven by automated workflows and faster approvals.
“Because of tighter MRP, better job tracking, and real-time visibility into material availability, production schedule adherence has increased from roughly 70% to over 90%. At the same time, sales order processing, which previously took two to three days, is now completed on the same day. This significantly accelerates our order-to-cash cycle and improves customer responsiveness.”
From a financial perspective, Epicor has transformed cost transparency and governance. By defining standard bills of materials, routings and production cost structures, Uniceramic now captures actual material, energy and resource consumption at a granular level. This allows the company to price products accurately, protect margins and remain competitive, while faster financial closing enables the finance team to focus on forecasting and strategic planning rather than manual reconciliation.
Uniceramic’s decision to adopt a cloud-first ERP was highly strategic. By moving directly to the Epicor SaaS model, the company avoided the complexity of on-premise infrastructure and gained scalability, resilience and faster time to value. The cloud environment also strengthens disaster recovery capabilities and ensures the platform can evolve alongside the business without disruption.
Looking ahead, Uniceramic is placing increasing emphasis on data analytics and advanced insights. With two years of clean, structured operational data now centralised within Epicor, the company is well positioned to explore more advanced analytics and AI-driven use cases to further optimise planning, forecasting and operational efficiency. The flexibility of cloud ERP ensures these capabilities can be introduced as business needs evolve.
Vibhu Kapoor, Regional Vice President – Middle East, Africa & India, Epicor, said, “Uniceramic Qatar’s journey is a powerful example of how world-class manufacturing must be paired with a modern, intelligent digital backbone to deliver real impact. The results they’ve achieved demonstrate what is possible when strong leadership, disciplined processes and the right cloud ERP platform come together. We are proud to recognise Uniceramic as an Epicor Champion and to support their continued innovation.”
