Belgian firm I.R.I.S. to flaunt scanning tech

i.r.i.s.-iriscan-mouse-executive-2-1Belgian mobile scanning company I.R.I.S. will present a range of its new products at GITEX Technology Week 2014.

The firm’s IRIScan Mouse Executive 2 is an all-in-one scanner and mouse which allows users to drag and drop text and images into applications, and edit scanned text directly in Microsoft Office applications. The solution comes in Arabic and also allows users to export business cards directly into the Cardiris contact management software.

The IRISPen Executive 7 encodes text when slid along a page, in much the same way as a highlighter, and has text, number and barcode recognition.

Meanwhile, the cordless IRIScan Pro 3 Wifi requires no computer to scan documents, and features an 8-page automatic document feeder, and allows Wi-Fi transfer of files to a range of devices.

In the Middle East, I.R.I.S. is still developing its network and is looking for distributors and retailers as well as system integrators. In addition to a range of scanners for the consumer and professional market, I.R.I.S. has developed professional software to process documents and feed the companies’ document management systems.
