CPI Media Group and Tahawul Tech, last night, hosted CNME’s new and improved ICT Achievement Awards 2017.
Held at the Conrad Hotel, the eight annual ICT Achievement Awards was dedicated to honouring end users, with revamped awards categories including those for technology Deployment, Individual Achievement and Innovation and Technology Strategy.
This new bracket of awards, along with the Deployment section, honoured the most successful technology projects and roadmaps in a range of industries, including: aviation, banking and financial services, construction and real estate, education, energy, government, healthcare, hospitality, logistics, retail and telecommunications.
The awards also honoured regional organisations who have excelled in the implementation of ICT Innovation and Technology Strategy.
ICT Achievement’s Individual Achievement categories, this year also included accolades for Chief Digital Officer of the Year, along with traditional gongs for CIO of the Year and IT team of the Year.
As part of the revamped process, CNME allowed the readers to decide who should walk away via public online voting.
AECOM’s Emily Tantau bagged the Future CIO of the Year Award; Ajay Rathi from Meraas Holding won the Chief Digital Officer of the Year Award; and Al Masah Capital’s Ashith Piriyattiath bagged the much coveted CIO of the Year Award.
