Fujitsu offers free cloud trial for ISVs and SMEs

Fujitsu has unveiled a free two-month trial program on its cloud aimed at ISVs and SMEs.

Companies can access the Fujitsu Cloud Platform including Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Software as a Service (SaaS), and Platform as a Service (PaaS), Fujitsu said. It will be hosted in Fujitsu’s Australian data centres.

Fujitsu CTO and executive GM, Craig Baty, said it introduced the trial offer as an incentive for smaller businesses to get on board the cloud.

“It will also allow organisations of all sizes to test the suitability of the cloud locally,” Baty said. “ISVs will benefit from the ability to sell their software ‘as a service’ to a global market place. Our Cloud platform will help them to address increasing pressure to deliver on demand, customise quickly and take new releases and functionality to market rapidly.” Baty said SMEs will benefit from the flexibility and scalability of the cloud platform, allowing them to provision ICT infrastructure and services.

“They will only pay for the service they need at any time which will reduce the need to have dedicated infrastructure installed that is under-used,” he said.

The free trial offer is valid until January 31.

Fujitsu went live with its cloud offering in September last year. It is built on open standards with published APIs and includes 24/7 support for the infrastructure platform.
