FVC opens office in Nairobi to support East African market

FVC on Monday officially opened its new office in Nairobi, Kenya, to better serve its partners in East Africa.

The new office offers sales and pre-sales support to FVC’s existing partners across East Africa, including Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania and Uganda.

“As a company, we believe in being close to our partners’ markets to be able to understand their needs better and ensure that we add value to both them as well as their customers,” said K. S. Parag, Managing Director, FVC, at the opening event.

“The African continent is continuously embracing new technology and investing in infrastructure. This means that we need to be here providing the necessary technology and support to our channel partners to help them achieve their goals.”

FVC has also joined its partner, Sight and Sound Computers, along with Orange Telekom and ESBC, to open a telepresence centre in Kenya, offering video conferencing rental facilities to local businesses.

“As we understand the needs of our partners and their customers better, we will include new vendors that will address the requirements of a new and connected Africa,” said Ahmed Youssef, General Manager for East and West Africa, FVC.

“We already have partners in these countries in East Africa and hope that our direct presence in the region will help to boost and support their efforts.”

FVC says that it sees significant demand in the education and government sectors, particularly in Kenya and Ethiopia. The distributor will provide the necessary technology knowledge and support that partners need as well as appoint new partners to address different sectors to ensure that they have the right support infrastructure available for end customers, a statement said.
