AT&T looks to provide enterprise-grade security for SMBs

AT&T Business is looking to extend the reach of its Dynamic Defence cybersecurity platform to the small- and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) that are using the company’s business fibre service.

The mobile operator launched the platform in 2024 targeting SMEs but is now offering it to eligible SMBs.

Instead of smaller businesses needing to bolt on third-party security tools or hire dedicated IT staff, AT&T is weaving threat protection directly into the fibre network layer itself, which means malicious traffic gets intercepted before it ever touches a customer’s systems.

The mobile operator stated the platform offers unified visibility and control through a single dashboard for monitoring threats and network performance.

Since it is network-based, AT&T stated the cybersecurity measures do not require extra hardware or a complicated setup, with deployment typical in under 30 minutes.

Launching during National Small Business Week, AT&T is offering eligible new business fibre subscribers two months of Dynamic Defence at no cost when signing up for advanced or premium packages.
