CA named a leader in IT management by Gartner

CA Technologies today announced that Gartner has ranked the company in a leading place across 21 strategic IT management software segments covering mainframe and distributed environments.

According to Gartner’s Market Share: All Software Markets, Worldwide, 2010 report, based on total software revenue worldwide in 2010, CA Technologies ranked number one in distibuted application management, mainframe job scheduling and run book automatio, other IT operations management (output management)and mainframe software change and configuration management.

For the same period, CA Technologies ranked second across mainframe DBMS management, software change and configuration management, mainframe and distributed network management and mainframe and distibuted language oriented development environments, mainframe availability and performance management, IT operations management, Web access management, mainframe backup and recovery, mainframe storage resource management and mainframe hierarchical storage management (HSM) and archive categories.

The rankings from Gartner are based on total software revenue worldwide in 2010.
