FDC holds 1st annual channel conference

FDC recently hosted more than 120 channel partners and vendors for a three day event held at the Grand Hyatt Hotel.

At the event, partner companies from across the MENA and the CIS countries came together to take part in an extensive series of presentations and workshops from industry leading vendors including Asus, Acer, Lenovo, WD, Seagate and many more.

The first of what will become an annual event by FDC culminated in an award ceremony where FDC and their partner vendors formally recognised and rewarded the outstanding performances of their channel partners.

The company announced that there were 30 prize winners including three for each brand (vendor) and three for overall business performance.

During the event it was announced by Girish Kewalramani, deputy VP that FDC will expand their reach into the Lebanon and Egypt markets. Commenting on the move Kewalramani said, “The overall business volumes and aggressive growth plans of vendors such as Lenovo and Acer require that we expand not only geographically but in our channel network.  Working in conjunction with vendors and growing businesses in tandem with them, their business is an ongoing commitment from FDC to both our vendors and valued channel.”

According to Alan Pourmirza, marketing manager, FDC is like a large family therefor bringing all the vendors and channels together for the first time helps to increase those ties and create stronger relationships. It is also a great opportunity to share the latest industry news and developments, growth plans and new products in a face-to-face forum.
