Minister praises UAE students for space science efforts

The students who recently participated in the launch of the Emirati satellite, Al Yah 3, met with the Minister of State for Public Education this week. 

Jameela Al Muheiri met with students Reem Al Abdouli and Mozoon Ali Al Abdouli from Masafi Secondary Girls School this week.

The meeting between Jameela Al Muheiri, and students Reem Al Abdouli and Mozoon Ali Al Abdouli from Masafi Secondary Girls School, is part of the Ministry’s desire to motivate innovative students and praise their excellence, as well as to encourage them to continue learning, innovating and dedicating their time to acquire expertise to enrich their academic and applied skills.

Al Muhairi praised the students for succeeding in their exams and personal interviews. She also praised their excellence, persistence and keenness to learn about space technology while stressing that this important event is a universal Emirati achievement, which is a window to the current developments in space sciences.

She highlighted the importance of preparing for the future by exploring key scientific specialisations, which represents the country’s directives to support its development efforts.

Al Muheiri said that the school aims to achieve leadership through its talented students, which requires greater efforts to provide a high-level of education, in line with the country’s goals and the directives of the wise leadership while noting that there are numerous examples of talented students.

These students are ambitious and motivated to learn, especially in the field of space sciences, she said, adding, “We are in need today of more examples of such excellent students, who aim to be involved in vital scientific areas that represent the country’s vision, agenda and plans, which are essential to its development and future progress.”
