Big Data is growing 11 percent year-on-year having reached $2.2 billion market in 2017. However, not many regional businesses know how to turn this valuable data into growth decisions.

Cassie Kozyrkov, Google’s Chief Decision Scientist will stop by at GITEX Technology Week in Dubai to showcase how Google has mastered the use of artificial intelligence and data in decision-making.

“What most people don’t realise when they’re talking about machine learning, is that there are actually two disciplines. If businesses don’t understand that there is a difference, they can experience loads of problems,” said Kozyrkov.

At the show Kozyrkov will join keynote panel discussion on “AI and decision-making – how AI is transforming decision making in major sectors,” together with Igor Perisic, Chief Data Officer, Linkedin, USA.

On 15th October, the second day of GITEX, Kozyrkov will present a keynote session on “The Future of Efficiency,” which will delve into the effects that AI and machine learning will this have on cities. It also aims to answer “how should decision-makers think about their roles and responsibilities in such a future?”

GITEX Technology Week is the region’s premier platform for technology innovation. The event will take place from 14th to 18th October at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
