Dubai travellers can now get through airport passport control in 10 seconds
Dubai’s General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) has recently announced that 18 new smart gates are now fully operational at Terminal 2, which will complete the immigration process within seven to 10 seconds.

“Dubai has set up its airports with a view of having them act as smart stations in their capacity as one of the most vital ports for the UAE, on the one hand, and the gateway to all people of the world, on the other,” said Maj General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General, GDRFA.
