OPPO enlists Sky International for Bahrain launch

OPPO is launching its operations in Bahrain

Camera phone specialist OPPO has announced that it will be launching in the Bahrain market in partnership with local mobile phone supplier SKY International.

The firm will start its venture into the Bahraini market with the F5 series that was recently launched in the UAE and will be available across all of SKY International’s Bahrain stores as of 10th December.

“We choose our partners very carefully, and after doing our research on the Bahraini market, SKY International was the obvious choice” said Ivan Wu, general manager of OPPO Middle East “We share the same basic values and we are both focused on giving the best value to our customers.”

Noushad Ali Abdulla, co-managing director of SKY International, said of the partnership, “This year we got the opportunity to partner with OPPO mobile phones in Bahrain, the leading mobile phone brand in Asia, and we were extremely pleased to take on the offer. Thanks to our years of business experience and market strength, we can help building their foundations in Bahrain and make GCC a stronghold for the company. We are thankful to them for selecting SKY International Trading as their partner in Bahrain.”

For the last 10 years, OPPO has been focusing on manufacturing camera phones, while innovating mobile photography technology breakthroughs.

OPPO was also the “first” brand to introduce the motorized rotating camera, the Ultra HD feature and the 5x Dual Camera Zoom technology.

“As soon as we got the news that OPPO was entering the market and that their team was reaching out to us, we were getting ready to welcome the brand to our portfolio,” said Ashraf Mayancheri, co-managing director of SKY International. “We are strong believers on the potential of the company especially seeing the astronomic growth and expansion it saw in the last few years.”

 In 2016, OPPO was ranked as the number four smartphone brand globally, according to IDC.
