New app lets smartphone users stream content from computer

A new application provides access to a user’s music, photo and video computer libraries from a Motorola RAZR smartphone anywhere in the world.

MotoCast, a free application debuting on the Motorola RAZR, allows users to stream or download content direct from their computer to their smartphone without taking up its storage space.

“MotoCast is another example of Motorola Mobility going above and beyond to give consumers what they really want,” said Raed Hafez, GM at Motorola Mobility MEA.

“People’s lives are informed by their media content to an enormous extent, and to have instant and secure access to everything on the go, without requiring smartphone storage space, is a liberating and thrilling experience we are truly proud of,” he added.

Via the app’s music feature, users can also receive personal recommendations, lyrics, biographies, event details, and share and discuss playlists with friends.

Users can also log on to MyMotoCast.com on any computer and get the access to their files from their home computer.
