Samsung recently added Apple AirDrop compatibility to its Quick Share offering on their Galaxy devices. The feature is now available on the S26 series to users in South Korea.
The company stated the update would make it easier for users to share content between Apple and Samsung devices.
Samsung follows Google in offering the feature, which was added to the Pixel 10 lineup in 2025.
In a statement, Samsung explained it would expand AirDrop support to other markets including Europe, Hong Kong, Japan, Latin America, North America, Southeast Asia and Taiwan. It also plans to add the offering to other devices “at a later date”.
Samsung’s Quick Share was introduced on the Galaxy S20 in 2020, more than half a decade after Apple launched AirDrop for iOS.
Quick Share was then expanded to other Android phones and devices in 2024.
To share files with an iOS device using Quick Share on Samsung Galaxy S26, users need to find an option to “share with Apple devices” in the phone’s settings under connected devices.
