A Russian cosmonaut for the Russian Federal Space Agency has snapped a photo of Dubai from the International Space Station while orbiting the Arabian Gulf and shared it on social media.
Oleg Artemyev posted the image to his Instagram account showing the Palm Jumeirah, noting that he had visited the island five years ago with fellow cosmonaut Anton Shkaplerov.
The caption read, “The Palm Jumeirah is an artificial archipelago. It is located on the Jumeirah coastal area [in] the emirate of Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates. Together with Anton Astrey family, we were there five years ago.”
