The company as the exclusive provider of Watson technology in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region plans to help regional organisations develop pioneering ideas and develop them through IBM’s cognitive technology.

Supporting their vision of enabling a new wave of unique services offered to MENA, Cognit is hosting a ‘Build with Watson’ Workshop on 1st May 2017.

Experienced developers, those new to code or line of business users are being invited to the IPIC Building in Abu Dhabi, home to Cognit’s new regional headquarters, to contribute in a full-day workshop that is designed to encourage the cultivation of innovative thinking, whilst harnessing Watson’s ground-breaking and disruptive technology.

Amal Al Jabri, general manager, Cognit, said, “Cognit aspires to incite talent and reinforce the development of technology skill-sets that will further the diversification of the UAE’s economy. Developers and entrepreneurs from across the region are encouraged to attend and be immersed in a full day of cognitive computing education.  Participants will have their ideas reviewed by Cognit and IBM Watson Subject Matter Experts for timeline, insights and tips to achieve “user-centric” success. I look forward to welcoming these talented individuals.”

Workshop participants will gain hands-on experience building out their ideas using IBM’s Design Thinking, the company’s approach to applying design thinking at the speed and scale today’s modern enterprises demand.

Selected inventive solutions will be provided marketing support and global exposure on IBM Marketplace and accolades on IBM’s digital channels and events.
