As Vice President of strategy for salesforce.com EMEA, Martin is responsible for the market strategy in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. His operational responsibilities include branding and awareness, demand generation, and product and partner strategy in the region. He is charged with advancing the company’s winning software-as-a-service and platform-as-a-service strategies.
Before moving back to Europe in August 2007, Martin served as Vice President, application product lines at salesforce.com, including the award winning Salesforce SFA and Salesforce Call Centre products. Under Martin?s leadership, Salesforce introduced Salesforce Partners, Salesforce Content, Salesforce Ideas, and the Salesforce for Google Adwords products.
Martin joined salesforce.com in March 2005 from Business Objects, where he served as vice president of worldwide field operations. Over nearly nine years with Business Objects, Martin held a number of key roles in operations, marketing, and product management in both Europe and the Silicon Valley.Martin holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from James Madison University.
