Zaki Sabbagh has been in the IT Service Management for last 15 years, implementing international standards in IT. In addition to his B.S. in Computer Science, he also obtained several certificates in major technical and management fields. Sabbagh undertook a restructuring of Zamil Industrial Investment (group of Companies) of its IT function, including the consolidation of three IT departments into one and the implementation of a shared services model that provides one IT platform across the ZIIC. In April 2004 he was named the ?IT Manager of the Year? by ACN-Arabian Computer News and later on October 2004 he has won the “Middle East CIO of the Year” award instituted by the Middle East CIO Summit (MECIO-Dubai). Also, in Sep 2005 the Arabian Technology Awards organized by leading regional publisher ITP’s IT Weekly magazine awarded ZIIC for their “Outstanding Achievement in the use of IT in Manufacturing”. Again, for year 2006, he was selected to be one of top 10 CIOs in the region by ?ACN?s annual Top Ten IT Managers, 2006?. Because of the horizontal and vertical rapid growth of ZI globally, Sabbagh is working now on new destination statement by moving ZI ITG ?Shared Service model? to ZI ITG ?Global Service model? and profit center IT base.
