Kingston to carry Intel SSDs

The Intel SSDs are available now through Kingston’s distribution channels. Kingston will leverage its knowledge of the various market segments, such as IT channel and enterprise segments for Flash memory, to deliver Intel’s SSD solutions to Fortune 1000 companies and vertical markets such as financial services, telecommunications, government, webhosting and others.

“Intel has developed the fastest line of SSD products in the world. Kingston’s performance analyses of these drives are off the charts, so we are extremely pleased to be able to offer our customers the benefits of this award-winning line from Intel, backed by the service of Kingston,” said Mark Leathem, director of Flash business development, Kingston. “Intel has grown into a significant player in the NAND market as proven by the technological excellence and performance superiority in their line of solid-state drives. Combined with our DRAM customer presence and support, we think our customers will gain a great deal of satisfaction in realizing the power savings, reliability and performance attributes of solid-state drive technology.”

“While Intel has well-established traditional distribution channels for its NAND Flash solutions, we recognize Kingston’s strong market segment share as a non-semiconductor manufacturer of NAND-based products,” said Shawn Sackman, director of marketing, Intel NAND Products Group. “From Fortune 1000 companies to major resellers with consumer market reach, Kingston has a significant presence, as a memory specialist, in many business channels that will help accelerate the adoption of our SSDs.”
