Kyndryl unveils cyber defence hub in India

Enterprise IT company Kyndryl has unveiled its first Cyber Defence Operations Centre. This new command hub, located in India, brings network and security operations together under a single framework.

The company stated the facility in Bengaluru, India, addresses growing enterprise demand for always‑on, resilient digital services during a period of rising IT complexity, AI‑led cyber threats and talent shortages.

Its 2025 Readiness Report revealed only 31 per cent of organisations feel prepared for external business risks, with technology complexity a key barrier for scaling AI.

Kyndryl noted the shift is being accelerated by the rise of agentic AI operating autonomously across cloud, data centres and edge environments, “making it untenable for network and security operations to function in isolation”.

Paul Savill, global practice leader for cyber security and resiliency, network and edge at Kyndryl, said the centre combines AI‑enabled insights with deep networking and security expertise to improve resilience, accelerate incident response and boost visibility across distributed IT environments.

The centre offers advisory, design, implementation and managed services, backed by Kyndryl’s global network of security and network specialists.

It builds on Kyndryl’s existing global SOC and NOC footprint across North America, Europe, Asia‑Pacific and Latin America. It will connect to Kyndryl Bridge, the company’s integration platform, to give customers unified visibility of network and security telemetry.
