The company will use the GITEX 2018 platform to champion the game-changing tech trends set to disrupt business and industry practice around the world, aligning with the event’s theme ‘Experience Urban Futurism’.

Helal Saeed Almarri, Director General, Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing and the Dubai World Trade Centre Authority, said, “Dubai is a regional leader in adopting breakthrough technologies that are bringing the government’s Smart City vision to life. Over 38 years, GITEX Technology Week has evolved into an unparalleled innovation showcase bringing together global leaders like Accenture who are shaping the future of the world we live. Today, we’re delighted to renew our long-standing partnership with Accenture who have once again chosen GITEX Technology Week to showcase their digital capabilities and innovation that are transforming regional entities, both private and public.”

Accenture’s esteemed analysts leading the conversation at GITEX – taking place at the Dubai World Trade Centre, October 14-18 – will include Accenture Digital Group Chief Executive Mike Sutcliff, who will be headlining Day One of the event’s Grand Keynote sessions.

Sutcliff will focus on the latest global and regional case studies around transformative technologies unearthed in Accenture’s Middle East Technology Vision Report 2018, which itself provides an in-depth look into the region’s technology trends.

“With the constant evolution we are facing in the digital world, now more than ever, companies need to understand how they can best leverage innovative technologies to support their teams and organisations. Being the digital transformation partner, we are proud to share this opportunity with both GITEX and the Dubai World Trade Center. This event is an important occasion for leaders and industry specialists to gather crucial information about the upcoming trends and keep up with digital movements that are happening both locally and globally,” said Alexis Lecanuet, regional managing director for Accenture in the Middle East and Turkey.

Throughout the week, Accenture will host dedicated sessions on the game-changing digital technologies set to have big impact on various business industries, including retail (October 15th), energy (October 16th), and digital marketing (October 17th). Visitors will also be able to get hands-on with the firm’s latest digital technology implementations through live demos at the event.

For the second year running, the Accenture Innovation Awards, in partnership with Expo 2020 Dubai, Fintech Hive at DIFC and Etisalat Digital, will take place at GITEX 2018, where shortlisted contestants are encouraged to present their ideas to win an all-expenses paid trip to Silicon Valley and Accenture executives will arrange for them to meet with key investors.
